"Let's Just Be Imperfect, Ladies": Here's my personal story - and the story of so many women in leadership positions (extract from the SHE Conference Helsinki 2022)
Hi, I'm Helene.
I am a Keynote Speaker, Women Confidence Mentor and former political speechwriter. And I can't wait to take you "behind the scenes" on 20 September to share the small secrets that help me - and the women I accompany in my business "Let's Just Be Imperfect, Ladies" - to be confident speakers and to shine in their natural, feminine way as women leaders.
My mentorings, leadership trainings and keynote speeches are inspired by my own experience as a “young woman in senior positions”, after having worked at the European Commission in Brussels and Berlin for 10 years. As a spokesperson and speechwriter, I advised decision-makers on their messages and prepared them for their “public” moments.
My last EU job was to accompany Ursula von der Leyen, the first female President of the European Commission in history, during her candidate speech in 2019. Today, my mission is to inspire even more women in leadership positions to speak and lead in their authentic feminine leadership style - instead of „fitting in“ into previous, alpha-dominated work cultures.
