How men can become stakeholders and allies for gender equality
Live Online Event via Zoom
Wednesday 19 March 2025, 19.00-20.30
In the EU, men still hold 65% of leadership and decision-making roles. As political debates grow more polarised and progress on gender equality is being pushed back, this moment presents a crucial opportunity for men to take a leading role in advancing gender equality. Studies consistently show that more diverse leadership benefits everyone—both men and women—by increasing profitability and improving decision-making.
Join speakers Martin Speer, Helene Banner and Jens van Tricht for a thought-provoking and engaging virtual conversation. From their intimate work with men and women in leadership roles, they will share experience and explore strategies to involve men as active contributors to achieving gender equity:

Jens, Martin and Helene met in Brussels after the panel debate “Boys and men as allies in achieving gender equality” at the Gender Equality Forum by the European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE) in December 2024.
The session gathered significant interest from conference attendees but was the only programme item explicitly focused on the role of men.
Therefore, the trio decided to come together again for a live event to continue the debate: how can we address the role of boys and men as allies in advancing gender equality?
Everyone is welcome to join.
